INTERESTED IN MEMBERSHIP?
The Ca CLT Network is dedicated to strengthening collaborations between Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in California and supports the incubation of community and resident-controlled housing that is permanently affordable through the CLT model. Membership dues help support our shared activities and resources such as policy, curriculum, community building, and technical assistance.
The Network accepts two types of membership: voting members for non-profit or other charitable status Community Land Trusts and supporting member status for individuals and organizations that are closely aligned with our work and values but are not formally organized as CLTs.

Membership Types
Voting Membership eligibility
- CLTs, indigenous tribes, fiscally sponsored, and other charitable status organizations based in Ca
- Organizations that include resident control using a tri-partite board and permanent affordability through a ground lease
- Emerging CLT’s may apply to join as voting members if 501(c)3 status is pending, provided they are fiscally sponsored by a charitable organization based in Ca
- Voting members participate actively and help the Network prioritize and shape CLT program offerings in California. Voting members can access resources, technical assistance, policy campaigns, and discounted statewide and regional events.

Supporting Membership Eligibility
- Individuals and organizations aligned with the vision and values of the Ca CLT Network and interested in learning about CLTs and supporting our statewide & regional work
- Emerging CLTs
- Associations and grassroots organizations exploring the creation of a local or regional Community Land Trust
- Member benefits, including technical assistance, are dependent on an organization’s mission, and are assessed internally on a case-by-case basis
