Meeting the Moment #2: Solidarity and Partnerships with Indigenous Peoples in the California CLT Movement
Tues, June 9, 2026, 1-2:30pm PT
This workshop is part of the CA CLT Network’s Meeting the Moment: Solidarity with Marginalized Communities series AND the inaugural 6-week Global CLT Virtual Summit. This workshop will feature stories of how Indigenous-led (and co-led) groups in California are utilizing community land trusts to advance land back, rematriation, reparations, food sovereignty and cultural revitalization. It will highlight calls to action and open up opportunities to hear from participants on their experiences fostering greater solidarity with tribal communities, and lessons in Black and Indigenous cooperation in the CLT movement.
Speakers: Darlene Franco, Wukchumni CLT | Aerin Monroe, Pathways of Purpose & Liberated Futures Lab CLT | Ruth Wortman, LFL CLT partner | Alice Lincoln-Cook, LFL CLT partner
Meeting the Moment #3: CLTs and Reparations: Advancing Racial Justice Through Land, Policy and Practice
Tues, June 30, 2026, 12-1:30pm PT –
Register here
This workshop is part of CACLTN’s Meeting the Moment: Solidarity with Marginalized Communities series. With the release of the California Reparations Report in 2023, the California Reparations Task Force made dozens of recommendations to redress the role of slavery and systemic racial harm, including direct financial assistance to increase Black homeownership and restore access to land unjustly taken. This virtual roundtable invites participants to explore the role of, and impact on, CLTs in advancing these reparative goals, particularly in addressing segregation and displacement.
Moderator: Tamika L’Ecluse, Sacramento CLT
Speakers: Chris Lodgson, Coalition for Just and Equitable California (CJEC) | Princess Robinson, RichmondLAND | Eric Avery, East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative (EBPREC)
